Enhancing Beauty. Restoring Confidence. Honouring Every Journey

Hi, I'm Marlana Laffita. I founded ML Beauty Co. with a vision that extends far beyond aesthetics. As a paramedical and cosmetic tattoo artist, I specialize in reconstructive tattooing designed to heal both physical marks and emotional layers.

Whether navigating the final milestone of a post-mastectomy breast reconstruction, restoring pigment to surgical and self-harm scars, or creating soft, smudge-proof permanent brows, liners and lips, my goal is to guide you back to yourself and restore confidence in your natural beauty.

Every session is conducted in a private, gentle, and highly supportive clinical-spa environment, ensuring you feel comfortable, safe, and truly seen throughout your recovery journey.

Common Questions

Everything You Need to Know

Understand the process, preparation, and healing dynamics of your cosmetic and medical tattooing treatments.

What is permanent makeup?

Permanent makeup is a cosmetic tattoo that enhances your natural features — such as eyebrows, eyeliner, or lips — using specialized pigments implanted into the skin.

Is permanent makeup really permanent?

Permanent makeup is considered long-lasting rather than truly permanent. It will gradually fade over time and typically requires touch-ups every 1–3 years, depending on your skin, lifestyle, and the area treated.

How long does permanent makeup last?

Results typically last 1–3 years. Factors such as sun exposure, skincare products, skin type, and lifestyle can affect longevity.

Do I need a touch-up?

Yes. A perfecting touch-up is typically recommended 6–10 weeks after your initial appointment to refine the results.

Can old permanent makeup be corrected?

In many cases, yes. A consultation is required to determine whether a color correction, cover-up, or removal is the best option.

Who is not a candidate for permanent makeup?

You may not be a suitable candidate if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active skin infection, are undergoing certain medical treatments, or have specific medical conditions. A consultation is recommended.

What should I do before my appointment?

Follow your pre-care instructions, avoid alcohol and caffeine for 24 hours, discontinue blood-thinning medications only if approved by your physician, and avoid tanning or sunburn before your appointment.

What should I avoid after my procedure?

Avoid swimming, saunas, excessive sweating, direct sun exposure, picking at the area, and applying unapproved skincare products until healing is complete.

What is paramedical tattooing vs. cosmetic?

Cosmetic tattooing focuses on enhancing beauty features (like eyebrows, lip blush, and eyeliner) that substitute for daily makeup. Paramedical tattooing is restorative and clinical in nature, working to camouflage scars, reconstruct areolas, or stimulate skin healing where pigment has been lost due to surgery or trauma.

How long must surgical scars heal before camouflage?

Scars must be fully healed and settled. Usually, they must be at least 12 to 18 months old. They should be flat and white/pale. If a scar is still red, pink, dark purple, or raised, we recommend starting with Inkless Scar Revision to soften and flatten the skin before adding pigment.

Is the procedure painful?

We prioritize your comfort. A medical-grade topical anesthetic cream is applied prior to and during the procedure to minimize discomfort. Most clients report feeling only a vibration or mild scratchy sensation, describing the pain as very manageable (typically a 2–3 out of 10).

How many sessions are required?

Cosmetic brow and lip services usually take 2 sessions (the initial procedure and a touch-up 6–8 weeks later). Paramedical scar and areola treatments may require 2 to 4 sessions to build the color layers gradually and ensure they blend organically into surrounding skin tissue.
